JUNIOR TRAINING FACILITY AND GREENKEEPER SHED

BRIEF UPDATE FOR WEBSITE AT 3-JUN-2024

The contract to do the works has been awarded to GG Mackay, Buldoo, Reay.  Contract preliminaries/T&Cs have been accepted by GG Mackay and the contract has formally been signed.  The shed has been ordered and should be here in August.   A structural engineer has also been formally appointed to assess with structural assessment for the Building Warrant.

Building Warrant Stage 1 application was submitted on 29 March and Highland Council responded with several queries on 16 April.  These have largely been addressed. Three trial pits will be dug on 4 June in order to assess depth of underlying sand/rock. Results and completion structural assessment should then close out the Building Warrant queries, allowing us to progress to demolition.

Several ISO containers will arrive on 17 June on the hardstanding left of the course entrance.  Our own ISO containers will also be moved there in order to allow temporary storage of equipment.  From mid-June to September the hard standing will be closed to parking in order to allow access of course equipment from the containers.  This will clearly be signposted.

We hope to see erection of the shed completed by the end of August.
